This Tamarindo villa is one of the most beautiful Costa Rican properties under $1,000,000 I’ve seen in my time of looking at Costa Rica Real Estate.
“Modern house with tropical architecture, with many details ( hardwood furniture, exterior showers, large windows, modern kitchen equipment, A/C, independent water reserve tank, automatic gate, wireless internet option, pool and more). Within only a few minutes to beaches, golf course, shopping, schools, restaurants, bars, medical service etc. (10 minutes to Tamarindo and 5 minutes to Hacienda Pinilla).”
Sound good? Well, look at the breathtaking photos below — this IS good. At $567,500 this ocean view 4,500 square feet home really is a steal. 3 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms, a breathtaking swimming pool and views that stun anyone. I love it!

Photos right from the official listing page…

A lot of people are sending us e-mail asking us about mortgages in Costa Rica. Well — seeing as we’re no financial experts we don’t feel comfortable forwarding you to banks etc in the area, but we can tell you from personal experience that it’s not that hard getting reasonable mortgage rates in Costa Rica if you 1) speak the language and 2) get a bank account with the company you’re getting the mortgage from at the same time…
The banks like foreigners with foreign currencies in their portfolio — so make sure to discuss special rates for US$ or € mortgages!
More on mortgages on the mortgage site, one of the few decent independent sources for mortgage info.

Another excellent reason for moving to Costa Rica — the mamis! I realize this blog will be a lot more light-hearted than the site, but I hope you don’t mind.
